I have completed a birth doula training workshop through DONA International, where I was trained on topics including labor and birth support, perinatal and postpartum mental health and placenta encapsulation. I I have also completed a basics of breastfeeding and hypnobirthing childbirth education course.

Additionally, I am a licensed registered dietitian nutritionist in the state of Illinois and can provide individualized prenatal and postpartum nutrition counseling.
My fees are currently $800 for the birth doula package, which includes continuous text support throughout pregnancy and postpartum, one prenatal home visit, support throughout labor and birth and one postpartum home visit.
I currently service the Chicagoland area. I also offer virtual birth doula support due to current pandemic restrictions.
Emergencies and unexpected client births are the only reason I would not attend your birth. In the case of an unexpected emergency, I will arrange for a backup doula to take my place if requested by my client. If I will be on vacation around your due date, this will clearly be communicated before signing a contract.
Yes, one home visit around 36 weeks is included in my birth doula package. This visit will be used to discuss birth preferences, practice comfort measures for labor and birth and get to know you and anyone else who will be attending your birth.
Yes, one postpartum home visit is included in my birth doula package. This visit will be used to review the birth and answer any questions regarding breast feeding, healing, infant care, etc.
Of course! As soon as you hire me as your birth doula, I will be available to you via email, text or phone call during normal business hours.
I am amazed by birth and the natural strength of birthing people. After experiencing the two beautiful births of my children, I knew I wanted to help birthing people create a positive, empowering birth experience.
There is no time limit for births. I will be there to support you throughout labor and birth. Long births may require some short breaks for bathroom, food, or rest, but this will be communicated clearly.
The goal is for me to come when you are in active labor, however I will come when you need me. Many first time parents are ready for support during early labor so we will be sure to be in contact during those early hours as well. I will always come when invited.
I will stay until up to 2 hours after birth.
I also offer individualized prenatal or postpartum nutrition counseling.
I will help your partner support you throughout labor and birth. During our prenatal visit, we will discuss the desired involvement of your partner. I will show your partner how to support you through a variety of comfort measures. I can also support by getting food or taking over if desired so that they can rest.
